Seiko Group’s approach to CSR is an integral part of our basic policies, which is, to be “a company that is trusted by society” That goal includes contributing to the creation of a sustainable society.

The Seiko Group recognizes that environmental conservation is the most important step in realizing a sustainable society.In order to fulfill our responsibilities as a corporation, we are engaged in a wide range of environmental activities, focusing on decarbonization, resource recycling, and harmonious coexistence with Nature.

Stop to use Plastic and Foam

Plastic and foam have been a global issue over the past few years and lead to pollution and global warming. We took this issue seriously and need to participate in SDGs Goals with Seiko Group, The "Stop to use Plastic and Foam" project was create.

We started this project in September 2022, until now we have stopped using more than 50,000 plastics and foams in our company. We hope that this activity in our company will express our social and environmental responsibility and it is the strating point for everyone to be more aware of reducing to use plastic and foam.

Plastic Bottles Recycle

People around the world are talking about Global Warming, including the problem of overflowing waste. The solutions that always picked up are reducing using plastic and do recycle activity.

We consider about using resources worthwhile, Then, we set up the "Plastic Bottles Recycle" project by send bottles for recycle for made cloth for road sweeper. With the target 12,000 bottles/year and reduce CO2 as 0.25 tCO2e / year. Until now, we recycle more than 35,700 bottles and reduce CO2 as 0.74 tCO2e

Increase Green Area

The company is aware of the environment and pay attention the importance of the forest. Therefore we increase green area in our factory following environmental measure and encouraging employee to participate in the conservation of natural resources and the environment that benefits of green environment effect to health. In this point was supported by many research that natural and green area can help to reduce stress and mental illness.

We planted 100 trees in our factory which can absorb 0.3 tCO2e of carbon dioxide and can purify the air and trap the dust also.

Seiko Family Day

The company held a "Seiko Family Day" on 22 Apr 2023 which the employee families were allowed to visit to the factory and introducing the company. At that day, there were 50 persons attended. In the event and Mr. Atsutoshi Yamamoto (Managing Director) giving an opening speech and take this opportunity to thank you to families for always support

Seiko Family Day was held for the 2nd time on 28 October 2023. This time it still received a good response from families of Seiko employees who visited the factory. The event was full of fun and impressions. The participants revealed that they liked the activities organized by the company and would like to visit again if the event is held again.

On November 9, 2024, Seiko Precision held the 3rd Seiko Family Day. There are 21 persons from employee family. Although this was the 3rd time that company had given the opportunity for employee families to visit the factory, it was still continuously gaining interest. This time, there were new activities to join in the fun, creating smiles and impressions for those who attended the event as usual.

As the damage and impact of climate change become more severe. Many companies looking for the approach and long-term measure to realize carbon reduction. In Seiko group, we try to find the way to support this topic, so we set the long-term target contributing to SDGs in topic 7, 12 and 13.

At Seiko Precision (Thailand) we set solar panel roof top from December 2022 until now we had installed in 2nd phase at factory 2. We can reduce CO2 emission around 2,133.20 tCO2e and plans to continue operations in Phase 3 in 2025.

Seiko Farm Sook

The company has started the project "Seiko Farm Sook" has developed the free space beside to Factory 2 to grow vegetables. The project aims to bring vegetables to canteen at the company to cook and provide to employees for free.

This activity increases green space and creates unity and good relationships between employee in the organization. We have already planted 95 square meters of vegetable plots and helped reduce CO2 as 1 tCO2e

KAIZEN

Kaizen is a Japanese management strategy that means improvement. It is an activity that continuously improves the entire work process involving employees at all levels, from executives to operators. Our company aims to encourage employees to be creative in improving work processes to be more efficient and effective until we were successful in being able to be a part of the Thailand Kaizen Award 2024 contest.

We sent 3 teams to Kaizen competition as Administration team, Clock factory team, and Parts factory team. All 3 teams passed the selection round to present their and Parts factory team can go to the finals round also. The results of these three teams will be used to further improve work processes and serve as inspiration for all Seiko employee to be creative in thinking of ways to improve new work styles or processes.

The first step of Seiko Precision (Thailand) with the Thailand Kaizen Award 2024 Final Round on 6-9 Aug'24, where our company representatives entered the final round of the competition. Mr. Thawatchai Huangsuwan, Engineer from PP.INNOVATION Department present with the subject "Counter of Pieces" and received a Certificate award. On the presentation day, management person came to cheer at the event, which showed the support of the executives. This is a good start for future Kaizen activities.

Blood Donation

Seiko Precision (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has cooperated with the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society and organized a blood donation activity on the company's 36th anniversary on June 6, 2024. It's passing on good things to help fellow humans. Actually, blood donating 1 time can help to extend the life of a patient up to 3 lives and can be produced into many more blood products and help blood shortages in the future , a total of 60 employees participated in donating.

Our company organizes blood donation activities like this every year to make merit on the occasion of the company's birthday. This is another CSR topic in which we have contributed to society in order to carry on the spirit of the Seiko Group to be “A company trusted by society”

On 19 - 21 June 2024, Seiko Precision (Thailand) Co., Ltd did activities by donating consumer items such as baby milk, disposable diapers, school supplies, sports equipment, toys for the RANGSIT BABIES' HOME FOUNDATION, Pathum Thani Province, Rachawadee Home for Persons with Disabilities Protection and Development (for boys) Nonthaburi Province and Suphanburipanyanukul School, Saphanburi Province. In addition to the donated items, the company donated money as total as 90,000 baht. The company has been a part in helping society with donation activities continuously.

Seiko Precision (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was held "the Seiko Open Factory Day project" on 17 Jul 2024 with 44 persons of teachers and students from the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University visiting the company. The company consider the importance of helping students to have the opportunity to learn and understand various processes in the industrial factory system, and to help develop their career paths and internships. On that day, we were honored to have Mr. Atsutoshi Yamamoto, the company's Managing Director, give a welcome speech to the students, along with executives who kindly provided knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes of various products in the company.
